Her practice, Igniting Possibility Coaching, designs and delivers programs for managers, executives and their teams that lead to significant and sustainable big-picture results such as increased profits and productivity. One of Duanna's specialties is team building -- coaching leaders to develop teams for increased performance and sustainable competitive advantage. Another service that Duanna is passionate about providing is Corporate Retreat Facilitation, which includes conducting leadership training and coaching programs at the retreats. Duanna’s programs are drawn from coaching and psychology, management consulting, personal growth programs and good old common sense. Her unique insight of human dynamics brings a clarity to her clients that often results in unparalleled breakthroughs. Duanna’s coaching also draws upon years of experience managing small publishing houses in her position as Magazine Editor of lifestyle magazines, where her responsibilities included writing, editing, implementation of marketing strategies, staff management and business development. In her leadership roles, Duanna worked with teams that were diverse in cultures and professions, successfully forging productive and cohesive relationships amongst them that resulted in increased performance, productivity and profitability. She was also the Content Director of an Internet portal that spanned 3 countries –- Singapore, Malaysia & Hong Kong. Duanna obtained her coach certification through an ICF [International Coach Federation] accredited coaching school based in Boulder, Colorado, where she studied under Dr. David Krueger M.D., a renowned psychologist turned coach. Duanna is also one of few coaches in Southeast USA who is licensed to offer PRINT surveys -- a cutting-edge assessment that focuses on a person’s strengths. Currently, Duanna is the President of the ICF North & Central Alabama Chapter. In 2007 and 2008, Duanna plans to spearhead projects that showcase the positive impact that coaching can have on the Birmingham community, as well as the coaches who are available locally to assist the community at large. Duanna's other contributory service includes being a member of the Birmingham Chamber of Commerce's Small Business Committee. In 2006, Duanna proposed the Night of the Living Dead event which took place on Oct 26. The purpose of this event was for business owners to share their "near-death" business experiences, how they survived them, and the insights they gained as a result of those trials. Duanna also volunteers her time at the Chamber's Entrepreneurial Training Series' planning committee. The committee is responsible for planning the programs for the year. A native of Singapore, Duanna lives in Birmingham, AL, with her Norwegian husband and son. Press Release, Oct 2006: In October 2006, Duanna traveled to the Kauffman Foundation in Kansas City, MO, to become certified as a FastTrac NewVenture & GrowthVenture Programs Facilitator.
